Surefire Pottery is a small, woman-owned business based out of St. Louis, Missouri. Owned and operated by me, Karen!

Creativity and D.I.Y is in my genetics. I come from a family of carpenters and seamstresses. My grandmother who I spent alot of time with as a child, taught me how to sew, cook and find inspiration from simple things. My Dad taught me that anything is possible, if I worked hard enough and my Mom gave me an eye for flair!

 My passion for pottery developed after a college ceramics course. Pottery has been a part of my life ever since. 

 

Pottery and art has always been a way of connecting with others. I am grateful to have passed my love of art with daughters and even nieces. My family is an important facet of what makes Sure Fire so special.

From my home studio, I create unique pieces of Pottery, Hand Built Clay Gnomes, Ceramic Kits and Wine Bottle Serving trays that, until recently, were only available for purchase at craft fairs and farmer's markets.  Now Sure Fire Pottery products are available online. It is the perfect shop to create your own art or bring home some of mine.
